So the second gen Zunes are out. They are finally using WiFi for something slightly more useful(syncing), although the jury is still out on performance. Regarding the “social” feature (sharing a song, playable up to three times) remains unchanged and still crippled with DRM. John Gruber has a better post on this.
Interesting to note is the new ZunePad, which I remain skeptical about till I get my filthy hands on it. Going back to what works: the iPod click wheel seemed obvious since there is little you can do with it, thus making it a: “wow, that’s easy!”. With a free spaced touch-pad, you would actually have to think! Who wants that while listening to music…lol.
