In a video introduction to the Android SDK (Seregey Brin), it was revealed by Steve Horowitz that it uses Apple’s open source we rendering engine: WebKit.

Ohh, and on a side note: $10 million in prices to the best developer apps!!! Did you hear that Apple…A little extra umff for the iPhone SDK won’t go unnoticed!

Review: The Sweet Agony That Is Nokia N81

Om Malik reviews the Nokia N81:
Unless this is an especially buggy device, N81 has to be one of the worst Nokia phones I have ever used and would be loathe to recommend it to anyone.

Still it looks kind of cool looking (ohh wait…it’s just like the LG Chocolate! lol)

A lot of Companies don’t ensure success!!!

Steven Frank is right (on Google’s Android):
People don’t want FEATURES. They’ll tell you they do until they’re blue in the face. But what they actually want is ease-of-use, and solutions to real-world problems — looking at a map, finding nearby restaurants, sending a photo to a friend without going through 6 submenus, not to mention [...]

MacWorld Reader’s Chooice Awards 2007

Great software deserves great recognition. Mostly Mac software…lol. In this year’s Reader’s Choice in the “Mac Gem of the Year” category there are three programs I regularly use:

Advertise Responsibly: Facebook Ad Platform

People tend to compare Facebook to Microsoft since both are very closed platform, rather than Google which new slogan is sort of “we’re open”(since the “don’t be evil” kind of went hay wire). With today’s Facebook Ad platform, they are more like Google than ever before. No, not because the both profit from ad, but [...]

Google: Android and The Open Handset Alliance sounds pretty cool

Finally the rumors on the gPhone finally become true…sort of. The Open Handset Alliance backed by Google is introducing a new linux based mobile platform called Android. So there is no actual iPhone direct competitor, just an OS and an SDK for now. The first phones using it will come out in the second [...]

iSight cameras going for $200 on eBay

Why Apple gave the iSight “end of life”, I will not understand? Sure all Mac now come with iSight built in except for the Mac Pro. Those users have to use a not so cool model from other manufacturers or pay a premium for a used one on ebay. The camera used to cost $149, [...]

Build it…and they will build it!!!

The buzz word for the second half of 2007 is: PLATFORM! Anything that wants to create some buzz has to have ‘platform’ in it somehow. Web 2.0 entrepreneurs went from doing simple apps that leveraged new programing techniques and the social graphs, to full blown Microsoft-killing conspiracy theories! Startups are realizing the true potential of [...]

Desktop Collaboration

The web has evolved. It has matured.
Web frameworks are now a commodity and ajax went from being a cool novelty to simply standard. This is all good since developers can now focus on what really matters: “desktop collaboration”. Social networks focus on collaborating with others. That’s great and all, but now we need web apps [...]
