Compromise = Shitty Products

Compromise makes shitty products or product experiences. For some reason the Gatorade bottle is heavier than other products, thus making it more resistant. I’ve seen a lot of people using Gatorade or Propell bottles as water containers. That’s what I call free advertising. Helping your customers advertise is really important for branding.

The other one is the Apple product packing origami. It makes it such a cool experience to open the product that it’s almost part of buying an iPod or Mac. It’s probably more expensive, but managers didn’t compromise to save a quick buck, thus making it a Purple Cow.
