Macworld 2008 Predictions: The Year of Wireless

The best thing about having a blog is Macworld predictions time. Here are mine:
Steve is going to come out on stage and put out record iPod and Mac sales for the holiday quarter.
Taking into consideration the now famous teaser “There’s something in the air” he is going to call it the year of wireless (just [...]

Max asks: What is the iPhone hype all about?

At the beginning cellphone were huge. I remeber that they were considered weapons and not allowed into high profile soccer matches. Innovation only came from new smaller form factors. After a couple of years of smaller and smaller ridiculous phone people stopped being impressed. In the early 2000 camera phone came out as means of [...]

Digg part of hosting marketing

When people use your companies’ products to market theirs, you know you’re in business. Digg has become a huge phenomenon to the point that hosting companies actually state in their marketing material that you won’t get burned if you get a “Digg Effect” while hosting with them.
MediaTemple on their Grid Service (MySQL Burst Container):
the [...]

NetNewsWire is Free! (UPDATED)

Brent Simmons (Newgator…but who is counting) is announcing that NetNewsWire 3.1(and FeedDemon) is a freeware. It is a great product and didn’t mind paying for it, now that it is free I can recommend it to all the cheap pirates out there.
UPDATE: I agree with Paul on the meaning of this.

Mad TV on Progress

Mad TV on iPods changing all the time. If I recall correctly they only change once a year in August or September(last couple of years). If anything, they don’t change that often. If you want something that wont change at all, get Zune which is Microsoft’s only consistent product (it really always sucks….like the video [...]

CES 2008 is like MacWorld 2007

Every year during CES in Las Vegas I see disappointing product launches(more like announcements) that really don’t mean much or won’t get to market(MS Surface). This year the trend continues with Microsoft (summary of announcements) continuing it’s rant on the Surfaces tabletop which is yet to be released (hopefully in the first half of [...]

Untraceable: Don’t Digg that Site

If you though a full blown Digg effect only killed servers(and the hamsters inside), think again. This movie Untraceable looks pretty cool. They also have a live site for the one in the trailer killwithme.com (no, no one is getting hurt there….i hope).

Sony and Apple Need Each Other

Businessweek is reporting that Sony BMG is dropping DMR in Q1 2008. This is a mayor break through because it comes a week later after Warner went DRM-less with Amazon. The Amazon MP3 store is gaining too much traction in content deals for Apple to ignore and they need to fight back soon.
If I [...]

MaxSez:Ubuntu brown sucks

As my previous article stating that Ubutuntu needs a big graphical overhaul so that it can better compete with Mac OS X(I am not even going to into Vista….it just sucks).
